The lovely Ocean Pearl Spa at the Sheraton in Carlsbad transported me and my little girl to a land far, far away. That is far, far away from laundry, dishes, house duties and emails galore. To say it was AMAZING is an understatement!
A group of us SDMOMfia ladies and our little princesses were invited to a very special Mommy and Me day at the Ocean Pearl Spa. Our daughters enjoyed manicures of polka dots, stripes, glitter and were polished to perfection. They had their little faces primped with some rosy cheeks and sparkly lips.. definitely fit for any Princess! They decorated bubble gum pink princess crowns with jewels and puff paint. Is that a little girls’ dream day or what?
While my princess was busy being pampered, I was escorted to a dressing room where I put on a fluffy white robe and slippers that automatically brings a smile to your face – you know the one? The robe was just a sign of great things to come… I slowly shuffled over to the waiting room, which was eye candy in itself with orchids, fresh citrus water, assortment of herbal tea and magazines galore – I could have just sat there and called it a day. (I love a good magazine!)
After a short wait, I was called back and entered a dark room of soothing music with the smell of herbal deliciousness. I was offered a selection of treatments where I chose a facial and a Nuface add on. If you aren’t familiar, Nuface is like Pilates for your skin – it tones and lifts… music to my ears. I was pampered with wonderful organic products, a fantastic mask and even an arm and shoulder massage. That is heaven on earth for this SD Mama! I left that facial feeling brighter, younger, happier and SO rejuvenated.. you would honestly think I went on vacation for a week… or two?!
I then enjoyed a scrumptious lunch of finger sandwiches, salad, fruit and dessert in the peaceful sunshine. We all ooohh-ed and ahh-ed over our treatments, how adorable our daughters looked and how friendly and relaxing the Ocean Pearl Spa was. Some ladies had massages, but whatever treatment was chosen, everyone was giddy with relaxation. The 
pool is marvelous, I could have sat there all day long and felt like I was a million miles away. As we were leaving I found myself eying this beautiful “LOVE” necklace, the rainbow of nail polish colors displayed and smelling all the decadent lotions available to buy. I could have shopped for another couple hours, easily.
I am telling you.. the Ocean Pearl Spa at the Sheraton Carlsbad is Spectacular. I am looking forward to a redo.. after all, that laundry and those dishes pile up fast!
